Constructive criticism

Most people react to criticism by instinctively beginning to self defend. Few people (honestly) like the criticism and receive it with a smile, even when it is completely justified. The more you care about someone or depend on their opinion, the stronger your reaction is. But is every criticism negative and what actually makes constructive criticism? Acceptance (26/4/2012)

When we face hardship, we tend to ask ourselves WHY did something happen the way it did. We crave for different outcomes, different circumstances. Sometimes we are mad or sad something was not the way we wanted it to be. You might think that only truly enlightened person might accept things the way they are.

You do not have to be a “guru” to see and accept the World as it is in each and every moment.

It might seem to you that we are suppressing or ignoring the problems when trying to accept them. Everything we experience now is our presence. We do not think of the past, we are not afraid of the future. We can not change the past, we can not control the future. What we can control is how we feel in this moment. Acceptance means not resisting.

SO, everything is OK. Nobody says it is perfect. It is just the way it should be…at the moment.

The paradox is – should you feel a need to change anything for the better – once you accept things and nor resist you enable a change to occur. So be ready to accept the things as they are. Because the things are the way they should be. Many times we realize it once time passes by.

Remember at least one thing in your life that was almost unbearable at the moment it happened and later you thanked God things happened the way they did (maybe you would have never meet so-and-so otherwise!). I have at least several things in my life that make me happy today and got me almost broken back then. Trying to comfort myself or…

Isn’t it just the way it should be!?
